Educational Technology Teaching Demo

•     My topic was: The Frog’s Life Cycle
•  I included my discussion in the story telling part, wherein I made my own story                 entitled “Mr. Franklin”.  
• In my activity, I have provided a Cycle graph, wherein the students will click the picture that corresponds to the stage.

        1.     What stood out from the teaching experience? (positive and/or negative)

                  

                        The use of technology in teaching is not that bad at all.

 

        2.     What did you like about the activity you implemented?

                         

                         I like the simplicity of my activity, because I believe that in designing an activity, the most important thing to consider is the learning outcome of the child. 

     3.     What would you do differently if you are going to teach the same lesson?

If                        I’m going to teach my topic again, I will not include my power point presentation and teach it in a traditional manner. I will use instructional materials such as story books, stuffed toy- frog, puppets, papers, etc. because I want to know how it feels like to teach without the use of technology.

      4.     What did you learn/discover about yourself -- as a teacher? as an undergraduate student?

                       

                           I realized that, I need to improve my skills, especially in using the computer. And I should learn how to talk with confidence in front of many people.

     Multimedia Flashcards /Autobiography AVP

     Provide your readers with a brief introduction about your Multimedia Flashcards and AVP Autobiography. Then, answer the questions below:

• ·         I also included flag per country.
• ·         I used my voice in pronouncing the country’s name.
• ·         With background music.

     Autobiography AVP

•               My first picture was my baby picture, then my journey with my family, friends,                        classmates, etc.
•          I used the song “Schoolin’ Life” by my favorite performer Beyonce in my AVP.

       1.     What were the difficulties that you have encountered in making your Multimedia Flashcards and Autobiography AVP? Were you able to overcome the difficulties? How did you handle them?

            

               In making my MM Flashcards, I found it hard to record my voice using a microphone because I can hear and feel that there’s something wrong, then I discovered that there’s nothing wrong with my mic and the real problem was my voice. I have this rare voice and there’s nothing I can do to fix it. I have overcome this difficulty by accepting the fact that I have this unique voice. #HatersgonnaHate

              

               I don’t have any difficulty in making my AVP. I've been using moviemaker since I was in high school so everything was clear and familiar to me.  

       2.     If you were to change anything in your Multimedia Flashcards and Autobiography AVP, what would it be and why?

             

               If I’m going to change something in my MM Flashcards that would be my background music, I believe it is appropriate but I really want to use a different one.

              In my AVP, I think I’m not going to change anything because I like it that way.

       3.     Write your realizations about yourself as a person and as a future teacher while you were doing your Autobiography AVP.

               While doing my AVP, I discovered that the saying “time is gold” is true, all the experiences, journey, people I met, etc. that I have included in my AVP are priceless. And I realized that there’s plenty of time for me to learn new things, to improve myself as a future teacher and to just live my life to the fullest, without regrets, just fun.

         Other Questions:

       1.     What other present personal/technological skills helped you in finishing all the requirements? How did these skills help you?

·                 Editing Pictures, Sounds and Videos.

                  -In making my power point presentation, MM Flashcards and AVP

·                My skills in preparing a power point presentation.

                  -For my Demo and reports.

       2.     Did you put citations of the images and audio sources for the cause of digital ethics?

   

         Ohmygosh. I forgot to include those things, but I promise next time, I will.

       3.     What advice would you give to future students who will be taking up this course? Give at least five (5).

·         Always give your best in doing something.

-          Don’t forget to put effort in everything you do.

·         Be Patient.

-          Yes, it’s hard but it will all be worth it.

·         Never procrastinate.

-          Do it now, sometimes later becomes never.  

      

·         Appreciate everything.

-          Small or big, there’s always a story behind everything, and it won’t hurt to show appreciation, so just do it.

·         Be innovative.

-          Don’t steal the idea, strategies, materials, etc. of others, Make your own.

·         Trust yourself

-          Don’t rely on someone or something. You have your own mind and don’t be afraid to use it.

·         Be positive

-          “Be careful of your thought, for your thoughts become your words”. Always remember that being positive does not mean ignoring the negative but being positive means overcoming the negative.

·         Study Hard, Eat clean, Sleep like a baby and Always Pray.
